The Club unanimously established the Foundation in September 1997 to benefit the youth of
our area and the world. No dues are required of Foundation members.

The purpose of the Foundation is to afford its members and others an avenue for charitable giving to further the goals and intent of the Club. The Foundation provides funds in support of Kiwanis emphasis programs particularly those benefiting the youth of our area and
the world.

Scholarships will be provided to students graduating from Rivers Edge School and Liberty Christian School. Besides academics, the scholarship criteria for Rivers Edge School applicants are principally based on need, and the scholarship criteria for Liberty Christian School is principally based on community service.

Thanks to the support of three local Kiwanis Clubs, children in all zip codes in Benton and Franklin Counties will again receive books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Tri-Cities Industry Kiwanis, Kennewick Kiwanis, and Richland Kiwanis pooled their funds to support 1500 children in zip codes that lost service after funding for the program was eliminated from the State budget, causing our local costs to double. Children enrolled in the program will begin receiving books again next month!

Our club raised nearly $15,000 to help bring accessible playground equipment to our community, ensuring children of all abilities have a place to play together. Through fundraising and community support, we turned our commitment to inclusion into a meaningful investment in local families.
